Welcome to the Santa Fe Concorso, the South- west’s premier automotive gathering. I am delighted that you are able to join us for our 5th anniversary as we celebrate the heritage of the automotive industry through an exceptional collection of cars, motorcycles, and bicycles.Just over 100 vintage automobiles, motorcycles, and bicycles have been assembled for the 2014 Santa Fe Concorso, we are excited to be able to share them with you. Some have been meticulously restored; others lovingly cared for over time. These automobiles join us today thanks to the passion these enthusiasts share in stewards of the sport. As the green flag dropped to plan this year’s Concorso, Al and Susan Unser started contacting some of their closest friends. The end result is a gathering of five of the winningest drivers in Indy race history, Parnelli Jones, Johnny Rutherford, Eddie Cheever, Jr., Al Unser, Jr. and Al Unser, Sr.Maserati takes center stage in a grand celebration of its 100th anniversary. We have assembled various levels of Maserati’s and with the help of the Unser’s, the 8CTF driven by Wilbur Shaw that won Indianapolis two years in a row is being sent by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum. We have empanelled some special judges to decide who rolls away with our coveted trophies. The Santa Fe Concorso presents two Best of Show awards, one for elegance and one for sport. These vehicles are selected from the class winners. On Sunday, lucky bidders will jockey for position in the silent auction tent bidding on automotive treasures such as four tickets to Jay Leno’s Garage, the thrill of track time at the Bondurant School of High Performance Driving, or bragging rights to owning a racing helmet signed by Indy racing legends. On behalf of the committee we would like to acknowledge and thank all our generous sponsors involved in the event, as well as the key participants - our entrants, judges, spectators and a host of dedicated volunteers. We must not forget the reason for our presence, which is to support our local charities that do so much for our community. Thanks to your philanthropic spirit, the Santa Fe Concorso will be donating a portion of its proceeds to the youth organizations throughout Santa Fe.We thank you for joining this special gathering of these rolling works of art at The Club of Las Campanas and for being part of what we feel is a continuing tradition in Santa Fe.Enjoy the day,Dennis Little President, Santa Fe Concorso1
