Denise McCluggage being presented the Lee Iacocca Award by Santa Fe Concorso president Dennis Little

The prestigious Lee Iacocca Award was established to recognize outstanding classic car enthusiasts for their “Dedication to Excellence in Perpetuating an American Automotive Tradition.”

The award has been given at select automotive events, such as Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance, Concours d’Elegance of America, Glenmoor Gathering of Significant Automobiles, Hilton Head Concours d’Elegance, Palo Verdes Concours d’Elegance, and many other classic car events nationwide. Santa Fe Concorso is honored to present the Lee Iacocca Award during our award ceremonies recognizing the best vehicles on display during 2013 Concorso.

The award celebrates auto enthusiasts on multiple levels, including character, community involvement, integrity, and a level of excellent presentation of their vehicle. This beautiful award is a one of a kind elegant plaque with a likeness of Lee Iacocca and his signature engraved in gold. Since the award’s inception in 2006, the Antique Automobile Club of America named the Lee Iacocca Award “the most coveted award on the classic car circuit.” All proceeds go to Iacocca Family Foundation for Type 1 diabetes research.

Denise McCluggage, as receipiant of the award, will join a distinguished club of recipients, including John Force, Ken Gross, Eldon Hostetler, Randy Ima, Craig Jackson, Jay Leno, Bruce Meyer, Jack Nethercutt, Jack Roush, Steve Saleen, Carroll Shelby, Dr. Frederick A. Simeone, Tom Sparks, and Bill Warner. Since 2006, 90 additional recipients have been honored with the Lee Iacocca Award.

Special thanks go to the Iacocca Foundation for selecting Santa Fe Concorso to present the Lee Iacocca Award and to National Parts Depot for supporting the presentation of this award at the 2013 Santa Fe Concorso.
