This Chrysler is a 4-door, aluminum-bodied design built by Locke, which weighs 4,300 pounds. Nelson Slater originally commissioned Locke to include special features on this Chrysler for comfort and practicability, including extra leg space, a full complement of interior storage pockets, a reserve gas tank, and two snugly fitted tool compartments. All windows, including the two side vents, pivot to allow maximum ventilation. In 1928, the owner’s great-grandfather won the car at a New York Stock Exchange raffle and took it to Europe, where between 1929 and 1935 the Chrysler’s touring capabilities were tested from Scotland to southern Italy, traversing every major Alpine pass.
