This Shelby Mustang GT350 is the ninth 1966 model built and is commonly called a “carryover” Shelby Mustang by being one of only 252 cars built in 1966 with most of the modifications used on the 1965 cars. These early cars were only painted Wimbledon White. When new, this car had no options, including no back seat, radio, power steering, or power brakes, yet the list price was $4,428. The engine produces 306 hp and is coupled to a 4-speed transmission. This combination proved to be extremely successful in Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) B-Production racing competition, winning national championships in 1965 and 1966. This car received an extensive restoration and retains the original engine, transmission, rear axle, and window sticker.
