1996 McClaren F1

Designed by South African Gordon Murray, the McLaren F1 is the world's first all carbon production car, weighing only 2,245 pounds. Even though it was built in 1996 it is still the world's fastest non-turbocharged production car, capable of 240 mph and a zero to 60 time of less than 3 ½ seconds. It is powered by a 6.1 liter, 12 cylinder engine that produces 627 hp. Although very narrow, it can hold three people since the centrally placed driver's seat is flanked by passenger seats located slightly behind. This is one of 64 road cars built.
